The guys guys showed up individually and we started off with one of the skills checks to see what skills were missing from everyone’s unweighting technique. We moved onto drops and gave each rider a mental skills set. We spent the next few hours working on these, as always starting with the smallest drop and working up to largest one. It was becoming clear to them all what we wanted to see and soon enough everyone was landing perfectly, commenting on how easy it felt. We moved straight across to the tabletop and worked everyone across this by adding speed to their individual unweight, until we found their clearance point. Some used their mental skills, and rode the gap jump too. We done a bit of work on cornering, and had them linking three berms together, before linking it with the rest of the pump trail, where they were beginning to jump, pump and even manual the sections to carry speed through and flow. Our session ended on the steeps where we demonstrated the importance of correct body position. Everyone was riding things they wouldn’t have dreamt of, with ease after understanding the correct way in doing so. Nice work guys.
