Nigel, Sharon, Lee and Jenn made their way from Swindon for their session and the skills check showed me the areas that needed work. Armed with this I set to work and changed their set ups to assist the changes .
We began with the drop technique and they were all amazed at how simple the new technique was and when they applied their mental skills, why the felt comfortable. From there we moved onto a cornering exercise on a grassy hill to work on their body positioning and then onto the top half of the skills trail to apply their new skills. We worked on pumping and linked 4 corners and a rock garden, they soon were riding faster and with more control than before.
From there, we moved to the 6ft tabletop and gap jump and in a few short moves they were all sailing over the tabletop and used their mental skills to decide whether to ride the gap jump too!
We moved onto anther trail and began working on absorbing, pumping and jumping and choosing the best technique when linking sections of the trail together. 14 sections were linked together and they were loving it. We did some hard work on linking 2 berms together and carrying speed through them. The session ended with them riding the whole trail end to end and them sailing into the air on the final 15ft tabletop too!
amazing session.
