David wanted to understand why he couldn’t jump as far as others and why he was scared of gap jumps. I immediately could see that his foot positioning and hand positioning needed correction as it was effecting his overall positioning his bike.  I then explained the need to separate his current technique into two parts so he could control both phases of his jumping. We began with drops and Dave could immediately feel the changes had a positive effect . From there we isolated a 7ft tabletop jump and that’s where I pulled his technique apart and rebuilt it. David couldn’t believe the difference in his control and confidence he now had and we moved to a gap jump with the same results. By the end of the session he was linking 10 gap jumps in a line including 2 lily pads too. Awesome session.
