A Great End To This Week’s Coaching

Today was a fantastic Friday for many reasons. Six riders arrived for their private session and Banter was high and so was their eagerness to learn.I broke their skill sets right down and rebuilt them back into a set of skills they will forever use when mountain biking and beyond.

Drops, jumping, pumping, riding steep drop offs, wall rides, cornering and gap jumps were all on the menu for today and they ate them up.

Six Go Mad From Fleet Mtb Group

I have coached Damo, Sean, John, Pat and Dan previously and their riding buddy Craig wanted to come along on their session too. I worked on the physical skills first and then really focused on their mental game.

What a session and what an end to a week of coaching. Im blown away by these guys!

Si And Adrian

Adrian was given a voucher for a private session and his riding buddy Simon joined him. Ade rides an ebike and Si a standard mtb but this didn’t matter at all.

I worked on the physical and mental skills in this session and they really improved in a short space of time. Even errors were being self diagnosed too.

I moved them on through section after section and linked jumps, drops, gaps, berms and so on together. What a session guys!

Kev And Jon Fly

Kev and Jon wanted a private session to focus on jumping and ironing out any habits their collective years of mountain biking had embedded. When I said how about the good stuff you already do they looked puzzled. I focused on foot positioning, looking and body positioning to begin with and after a set up change to enhance this, I started to unlock their mental game too. It’s not about the bike either as Jon rode an ebike and kevin rode a regular mtb.

An E-bike’s Session

Nigel and Grant ride e-bikes and wanted to learn to control them more in corners and also learn to do drops on them. I adjusted their set ups and made the necessary adjustments to their skills sets by working on positioning, footwork and looking. I think the pictures tell the story of the session better than I.

Lisa’s Session

I have coached Lisa’s husband before and he bought her a gift voucher for a one to one session from me to build her confidence on her bike.

Lisa wanted to feel more control in corners and in her riding in general. I worked on the physical skills set and the mental skills too and the difference was huge by the end of the session.

Mike, Tony And Chris Pre Alps Session

Mike and the boys booked in to understand what they needed to do in their riding s and how it can help them on their annual Alps trip.

I broke down their skills sets and found Footwork and positioning needed work and Later, their Looking skills too.

Immediately, I adjusted their set ups and they felt the difference.

Drops suddenly felt simple, Riding over large obstacles and jumps became easy and cornering became faster too.
