Kristin wanted to gain more control of her singletrack/ cross country riding and maybe learn to handle bike park berms. I could see that I needed to work on foot and body positioning before anything would work within the techniques needed riding mountain bikes. I began with cornering and linking a small rock garden into the trail. I then worked on drops and Kristin was amazed how simple and controlled it felt. Linking all sections on a trail was next. A break was followed by pumping and absorbing undulations of trail and carrying speed through multiple berms. Kristin asked how easy is it to jump? I said to repeat what I had taught her and she began to fly too!
