A Return Session

I have coached Mel, her husband Darren and friend Jason before and they returned all wanting to improve and with different issues in their riding. I had to help Melanie get over her broken arm on holiday in the Alps and get Darren more comfortable with drops and also Jason too.

I built the session by bringing it to the basic levels needed to correct physical errors and then build the mental skills from there.

Paul’s 2nd E-bike Session

I first coached Paul last month and he returned to build on that session and to work on his jumping and flow.

I began gradually and built upon the previous session and worked on his mental skills set. He’d hoped to ride some more gap jumps and that wish was soon granted but the session was so much more! Steeps, linking drops into gaps and flowing through jumps and even beginning to tweak the bike mid air too.

I can’t wait to see him gain and push it on again.

Tim, Brian And Mark’s Session

Tim, Brian and Mark came to me for a skills session to work on drops and jumps but it was more than that. I worked on steep terrain, riding obstacles and cornering too , but not before correcting their set ups and skills sets.

I worked on footwork and positioning mostly and made them ware of the mental skills that I teach too.

Riding With The Correct Foot Forward

I coached Stuart a year ago and he’d struggled to embed the skills set and couldn’t understand why. He returned today to see if I could see what’s wrong and it lay in his foundation, footwork.

Stuart always twisted in the air when jumping and this created a doubt in him as it felt hit and miss but a change in his lead foot cemented both this session and the last too.

The change really changed his positioning to a more unconscious level as the last session suddenly all made sense, he had a balance on his bike and he could feel it.

Joe’s Session

Joe wanted to find the answer he always felt was just out of his grasp but that he was so close to. He came to me after reading recommendations and today was the day.

I deconstructed his riding and rebuilt it so he knew why it was right or wrong, he could feel it.

I worked on his physical and mental skills and we drew on his experiences from other sports. What a session!

Six Go Mad From Essex

Cath, Stuart, Mark, Adrian, James and Jackson made the trip to me after being recommended it from a rider at Hadleigh Olympic trails.

They wanted to push their riding on and understand what they were doing right or wrong. They all were at different levels in their riding but that made no difference.

I corrected their physical skills before applying the mental skill set to loads of different applications on trails. I think the pictures and videos tell the story better than I

Andrew And Simon’s Session

Andrew and Simon booked a private session wanting to work on all areas in their riding. I watched what they were doing physically during my skills check and armed with that info, I set to work.

dropping in

They wanted to work on jumping but it was cornering and steep terrain that really changed how they think about riding mountain bikes.
